Help for Rescue Dogs In this Depression Dear Friends and Families of NOT SO GRANDE,Hi Folk's, first we want to say thank you for your past support of our rescue.
This a request for HELP this year has been very difficult for everyone but for the Animals most of all.
This year we have doubled the number of intakes (owner release & euthanasia from pounds) that we have ever seen in the 5 years we have been rescuing. We have submitted our application for our 501 C3 which will help to get more corporate support but for now we are still dependent on adoptions and small donations from caring, loving people like you. The housing market has left thousands of animals homeless and in need of rescue. We have taken in as many as we can and are caring for thier needs but we need your help. Adoptions are down and may get worse before they get better. So we are asking for your help in any way possible if everyone gives, even a little, we can make it through these hard times.
Welcome and needed for the care of these previously neglected, unwanted, and abused dogs are funds, blankets, toys, dog houses, crates, dog beds, dog food (wet, as many older and sick dogs require wet food) collars, leashes, harnesses, grooming supplies, sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, and as always sterile medical supplies for our more unfortunate visitors. It’s because of generous loving people like you that we have been able to go on giving the dogs the forever homes they deserve. Our vet clinic is also happy to accept any funds towards our vet bill, info below. This summer we are rehabbing two burned Doxies, and a cancer survivor, these types of rescues require long term rehab. Very happy to say that our two Down Doxies are both enjoying their wheelchairs now. We also are caring for two blind, one deaf, a few seniors, and a hoarded group. We appreciate anything you can supply us with and please spread the word, Adoption is Love.
PLEASE HELP

THANK YOU for your help for these dogs. Blessings, Jess, Shari, Annie Belle, and all of us at NOT SO GRANDE!! Bernie did very well with his long-term care and rehabilitation. He fully recovered and the hair grew back to cover most of his scars. Due to his trauma some of the black hair grew back in white. We rely on your donations in order to be able to rehab little guys like Bernie who need long term care. Please consider becoming Sponsors for a needy NOT SO GRANDE Dachshund or small dog. There are many ways in which you can help a dog that otherwise would have no where to go. Sponsors can help with the recovery, rehab, and the comfort of a Down Dachshund or needy small breed rescue dog. A cage bank will make it much easier to handle the task of treating the sick and down dogs.. Thanks for your support. Charlie This is Charlie, a sweet Wire Haired Mini Dachshund, he was rescued with two other Dachshunds in Northern Arizona. They where left tied outside in the weather where he contracted an eye infection. When Charlie arrived, he had been wearing the same sweater for some time. His hair was matted, and he was full of fleas. His eye was so badly infected that it was closed shut. After a lot of care and medications Charlie could finally see again! Such a Cutie. After all he had been through his personality is wonderful. We held out for some one that would love and adopt both Charlie and Peppermint Patti. Peppermint and Charlie had grown up together and always had each other to lean on. She is a loving and friendly Red Long Hair Mini Dachshund. The two are a great pair, they would eat, sleep and play together. This eye problem was a direct result of the dog's environment not being suitable. Charlie, being tied out was unable to get away from the flies and fleas that were out of control. The insects had laid their eggs in Charlie's eye, which became infected."[If left] untreated this would have led to blindness". We were extremely happy when our rehabilitation efforts paid off and he could see again. See the adoption photo where both of his eyes are shiny and black. When he arrived here he was tick and flea infested. He also had bilaterally crypt orchid's [a condition in which the testicles never drop],if left untreated this will lead to testicular cancer! Once he had good weight on and was healthy enough we had him neutered, poor guy was so bruised and sore. What a trooper! Even with all of this going on with him he always had a kiss and some love to give you. Like Bernie and Charlie we will always help these hard luck cases. Dogs needing long-term care and rehabilitation will always benefit from Sponsors and a cage bank where he can be comfortable during his treatment. Thanks! Max Max is on the move~!
Thank you for your support, together we can save a life!
